Studies or Ministry?

Studies or Ministry?

Bakasyon na! Kumusta kayo?

Have you ever asked yourself why you need to be pressured by school requirements? Bakit ba kailangang mag-aral? Bukod sa pagkakaroon ng magandang trabaho, what else? Kailangan ba ng title sa langit? Would God ask me “Anong natapos mo? Anong trabaho mo?”

Have you ever encountered these questions in your mind?

Aside from getting to enjoy doing the “work” with your friends, you also know that you’re serving God. (Haha)

God answered my questions through a friend and His word. I realized that the church could never produce workplace ministers if it wouldn’t strategically position its ministry in the campuses.

As I recall my questions, I just laugh at myself. And realize nagda-drama na naman ako (haha).God reminded me that my relationship with Him doesn’t and shouldn’t just revolve around my conventional, structured concepts of “ministry” (CAM, WAM, WIN, etc.). That I should focus on knowing Him and the ministry where all Christians belong: evangelism. But trith of the matter is, everything we do should be ministry (service as an act of worship) toward God.

By doing everything for His Glory, let us all be true worshippers even in and through our estudyante life.

Sarah

Sarah is one of her university’s most active student leaders whose obsession with student welfare can rival that of politicians, and whose love for color green can potentially translate into environmentalism in the not-so-distant-future. Instead of being a Sarah Crewe, she’s been a service crew, promo girl, student assistant and student facilitator to support her schooling, which is now down to one year—right on! Her campus drama is living proof that nothing’s impossible to the Savior who can move mountains.

Haha… sa mga nakaka-experience ng kagaya nito, okay lang yan, kasi in preparation yan kapag “work or ministry” na ang tanong mo sa sarili mo. :P

Remember BPGINFWMY: Be Patient! God Is Not Finished With Me Yet :)

Col 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it as if you are working for God and not for men. ( It said, whatever you do, it also means wherever you are.)

Though sometimes we can not really help but ask ourselves if we are doing ministry while being a student (ako naman, am i doing ministry while at work), we can trust the Lord in all things, at all times.

Yes indeed. SA mga nagaaral, kahit pa ang pag-aaral ay temporal at earthly, at hindi madadala sa langit, we should still strive to offer our best in giving God glory thru our studies. And the people around us will glorify the Lord our God becuase of the things we do before them. The same is true w/ those who are already working.

    God bless.

I have two verses in mind:

It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other. The man who fears God will avoid all extremes. – Ecclesiastes 7:18 (NIV)

    Remember: The duller the ax the harder the work;
Use your head: The more brains, the less muscle. – Ecclesiastes 10:10 (Message)

our lives should be missional – we should always be leveraging what we learn so that we can be more effective ministers :)

at one point of my life,, naisip ko din yan..really…

It is because education is the instrument use by God to equipus with knowledge and skills that we can use in ou lives. How can we maximize our potential if we are lack of knowledge and skills? if we are lack of education?

i just realize na,, it is nosense to choose between studies or ministry kasi study is one of our ministry to God. This is a way of serving Him. A way of glorifying His name.

pero my mom said “look at them when you say hello” JOKE! sabi nia “my purpose ang Lord kung bakit ka pa nag-aaral, (TO SAVE THE LOST)”
